Christmas Dinner- Blazer Optional

I love Christmas! That's right I didn't use the politically correct term. In Jamaica where I live, we get two days off- the 25th and the 26th which is called Boxing Day. If any of those days falls on a Sunday then the holiday is transferred to Monday. I am not accustomed to getting a lot of gifts during Christmas but I am accustomed to eating way too much food. There are usually a lot of Christmas dinners and in truth they are not very formal but a girl can always dream. The outfit below is what I would wear to a nicer Christmas dinner.

The J. Crew Schoolboy Blazer is currently on sale for $80 it comes in both tall and petite sizes. I have very wide shoulders with long arms and long legs (I don't look quite as freakish as it sounds) , but I have found J. Crew tall blazers to fit me very well so far. Hope you like the above ensemble and maybe you can say something about your own Christmas traditions.

I loved J Crew's Cafe Capri in Photo Floral since it first came out and although it was in my previous post I still dont think I have done justice to the love I have for these pants. Of course if you live in a colder climate you will have to add a coat.

Being tall and top heavy I have a naturally statuesque physique so I tend to shy away from tops that are colourful, flashy, voluminous, or unique in any way. I have a ward robe full of muted coloured V-neck tees and tanks. The J. Crew sequined polka dot blouse below is so far outside of my comfort zone and unlike anything that I would wear that I am surprised that I love it so much! Luckily for me I have launched a campaign against comfort zones this year with the aim of broadening my horizons and deepening my life experiences.

Hello All
I have to say I love the smell of Christmas in the air. I have the great fortune of living in a tropical country so the weather is pretty great all year round, which means I can wear this great Checkered Colorblock Mini from J. Crew which I have been eyeing for months.
